The results of the implementation of the NCH environmental policy in 2022 are presented in the annual report of the Company

The management of the company summed up the results of the functioning of the environmental management system of the Project. The review assessed the suitability and effectiveness of the environmental management system. In 2022, all targets set by the roadmap in the field of environmental protection for 2022-2024 were achieved. This is ensured by the implementation of the program of environmental protection measures, which provides for a system of measures aimed at further improving the efficiency of environmental protection management, ensuring environmental safety of activities, rational use of natural resources and energy saving. For example, relative to the baseline indicators of 2021, the volume of hazard class I waste generated at the WHSD was reduced by 92%, and the total amount of waste transferred for processing reached 100%. As part of reducing the negative impact on the environment, work was carried out to modernize the sewerage system and the discharge of domestic wastewater into the Chernaya River was completely eliminated. The drainage systems at the sites of surface wastewater discharges into water bodies were equipped with dispatching systems with the function of monitoring and remotely shutting down the operation of pumping equipment, which makes it possible to exclude the possibility of polluted runoff discharge into water bodies in the event of an emergency signal. The project has assessed environmental risks and developed effective measures to manage these risks. During the implementation of measures to prevent accidents during the reporting year, no environmental accidents and incidents related to environmental pollution were recorded at the project.
