The project of the WHSD construction and maintenance was being presented at the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg

The project of construction and maintenance of the Western High Speed Diameter was being presented at the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg scheduled during 16-18 June 2016.

The project was exhibited in one of the main halls named ‘Saint Petersburg’ amid the largest investment projects implemented in the city. The exposition of the project included a detailed model of the Central section of the highway being constructed and some footage designed to educate people on construction and maintenance.

Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko examined the WHSD model. Alexei Bnatov, CEO of Northern Capital Highway (NCH) and Igor Lukyanov, CEO of OJSC Western High Speed Diameter were talking about the project implementation.

The second day of the Forum was marked by the visit of Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi. He visited the site of WHSD Central section construction on Kanonersky Island. ISA was awarded the Construction Contract (EPC) for construction of the Central Section of WHSD. Astaldi and Codest are among the other companies operating in the construction.

Mr. Renzi warmly welcomed his countrymen and was fully informed about the peculiarities of the project and the implementation process by the management of the companies. Italian Prime Minister visited a shipway designed to launch the steel bridge spans of a double-deck bridge over the Sea Channel on a 50 meters height.
