The operator of the WHSD reduced the number of discharges into water bodies by 1 million liters per year

As part of the implementation of the roadmap in the field of environmental protection for 2022-2024, in order to reduce the negative impact on the environment, guided by the principles of sustainable development, in December, the WHSD Operator completed work on dismantling the discharge of domestic wastewater into the Chernaya River, located in the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg. Modernization of the wastewater disposal system makes it possible to eliminate the negative impact on the water body by stopping the discharge of emissions contained in domestic wastewater. Also, the discharge of up to 1 million liters of normatively treated wastewater into the river will be stopped per year. In the course of the work, the head of the onshore outlet was dismantled, as well as the treatment plant was modernized. In the future, domestic wastewater will be accumulated in a closed system and, according to the agreement concluded with the State Unitary Enterprise Vodokanal of St. Petersburg, will be transported by the Operator's specialized transport to the city treatment facilities. Now, the company's specialists, in accordance with the requirements of the Water Code of the Russian Federation, are preparing an application for the termination of the right to use water bodies in connection with a change in water use parameters.
