A summary meeting as a resume of the first 6 months of the Central Section Construction of the WHSD Highway took place on Tuesday, 24 September, 2013.
Representatives of St.Petersburg government, mass media, investors and lenders of the Project visited the Sites.
Alexei Bnatov, CEO of Northern Capital Highway, opened the meeting presenting the Company and the Project. Alexei Bnatov told about the Public-Private Partnership Agreement that has become a basis of the great infrastructure Project, introduced the investors and lenders engaged into the Project. Moreover he presented the detailed information about the complete rout of the Highway and the main constructions of the Central Sections.
The participants of the meeting had a possibility to view the main facilities from a boat board. A considerable segment of the Central section will pass in the water area that determined the choice of a boat trip review. At a present intensive works on construction of the Central section are being undertaken along the whole line of the future rout: in the district of the Ekateringofka, on Kanonersky Island, in the water area, at the western edge of Vasilievsky Island, on Krestovsky Island, on the Site at Savushkina street. Sergei Onopa, NCH manager for foundation construction, performed more detailed information about works completed and being undertaken.
As a conclusion of the meeting vice-governor of St.Petersburg Marat Oganesyan answered the journalists’ questions. In particular M. Oganesyan noted that construction works on the Central section are ahead of the schedule.
- There is no doubt that the terms given will be adhered, - said M.Oganesyan.
Moreover representatives of investors and companies engaged in the Project.
It should be noted that contractors began the works in spring, 2013. The Central section construction is to be completed in 2016.
